Mandarin Melody

Intro

Holdontoyourlantern,letthemusicspin

Verse 1

Garden gate swings open wide

Red and green stripes dancing in the light

Petal flowers wiggling up the sky

Roses are blooming all around tonight

Your tiny hand reaches out for mine

Chorus

Mandarin melody, turn it round we go

Twirl the lanterns under cherry blossoms low

Spin until your feet don't touch the ground

Hold on tight to this joyful sound

Verse 2

Yellow dragon chasing after bees

Feathers rustling soft as a summer breeze

Kite strings tangling up in a happy mess

Blossom petals floating across our dress

Every color of the rainbow spinning free

You laugh and spin until you're just a spark of glee

Chorus

Mandarin melody, turn it round we go

Twirl the lanterns under cherry blossoms low

Spin until your feet don't touch the ground

Hold on tight to this joyful sound

Bridge

No more counting steps or holding hands tonight

Just twirl and twirl until the whole sky lights up bright

No walls, no fences, just spinning round we go

Where will our lanterns land? Nobody knows

Chorus

Mandarin melody, turn it round we go

Twirl the lanterns under cherry blossoms low

Spin until your feet don't touch the ground

Hold on tight to this joyful sound

Outro

Garden gate swings open wide again

You still spinning, I still singing

Mandarin melody, let it spin free
