Shining lanterns on our feet

Intro

Catch a spark that's running round

Verse 1 – male vocal

In the garden where the tall trees sway

Dandelion seeds are dancing today

Children hold their lanterns high and bright

Shining on their faces, shining light

Pre-Chorus

What do you see? Is it green or gold?

Who's spinning round while the fireflies grow old?

Chorus – full group

Sparkle in the dark! Shining lanterns on our feet!

Twirl and twirl until your toes meet the beat!

We're making magic, one little light at a time

Verse 2 – female vocal

Penny-pound pennies scattered on the ground

Moths are flapping wings and fluttering round

Children's laughter echoes through the air

A secret treasure hidden everywhere

Pre-Chorus

What do you see? Is it green or gold?

Who's spinning round while the fireflies grow old?

Chorus – full group

Sparkle in the dark! Shining lanterns on our feet!

Twirl and twirl until your toes meet the beat!

We're making magic, one little light at a time

Bridge – male-female duet with choir echo

Shine it brighter. Shine it fast. We're the stars of this garden blast

Chorus – full group

Sparkle in the dark! Shining lanterns on our feet!

Twirl and twirl until your toes meet the beat!

We're making magic, one little light at a time

Outro

Catch that spark and hold it tight. Shining lanterns all through the night
