Weld in the Black (Version 2) lyrics
Intro
Iron light on the bone
Verse
Rust on the hinges, the door don't stay shut
Shoes like lead on the tile where the current cuts
Pre-Chorus
I can feel it pull me out through the seam
Down into the black and back to my dream
Chorus
Weld in the black light
Pull me down low
Don't try to find your way
When there's nothing to see but this glow
Verse
Fray on the cuff of your jacket, a thousand sparks
Every step you take draws it right through the dark
Pre-Chorus
I can feel it pull me out through the seam
Down into the black and back to my dream
Chorus
Weld in the black light
Pull me down low
Don't try to find your way
When there's nothing to see but this glow
Bridge
Not a name, not a face
Just iron and the space between us where I'm lost
Just heat on my skin and your hand moving slow through the sound
Chorus
Weld in the black light
Pull me down low
Don't try to find your way
When there's nothing to see but this glow
