Floor Becomes Prayer

Verse

Dust hangs gold in the light beam

Kick drum finds my chest

Hands start rising on their own now

Body knows the rest

Heat moves slow through the rafters

Skin remembers the sound

Every step un-teaches gravity

Nothing left to hold me down

Pre-Chorus

Every breath lines up with the bassline

Every limb let go of time

Something older than the music

Moving through this room tonight

Chorus

Floor becomes prayer

Floor becomes prayer

Hands up, we're only breathing

Floor becomes prayer

Verse

Concrete warm beneath bare footsteps

Sweat like oil on skin

Shoulders open like a doorway

Let the whole night in

Spine unlocks with every second

Ribs keep time with the drum

Nowhere left that I'd rather

Nowhere left to become

Pre-Chorus

Every breath lines up with the bassline

Every limb let go of time

Something older than the music

Moving through this room tonight

Chorus

Floor becomes prayer

Floor becomes prayer

Hands up, we're only breathing

Floor becomes prayer

Bridge

No clock hanging from this ceiling

Only kick and only light

Every hand becomes an altar

Every drop becomes a rite

Nobody asking questions

Nobody keeping score

Just this room and just this rhythm

Just the calling of the floor

Chorus

Floor becomes prayer

Floor becomes prayer

Hands up, we're only breathing

Floor becomes prayer
