Skin Signal Fails lyrics
Verse
Band on my wrist reads the beat inside
Feeds the floor my pulse, my stride
Screen above the bar shows a hundred lines
Mine goes flat between the strobe lights
Pre-Chorus
Static cuts the feed in half
Room don't notice, room don't ask
Chorus
Skin signal fails
Skin signal fails
Floor keeps moving
Skin signal fails
Verse
Sensor drops me out the grid
Nobody checks what the system did
Hand still moving, chest still tight
But the readout's dark, so I'm not here tonight
Pre-Chorus
Static cuts the feed in half
Room don't notice, room don't ask
Chorus
Skin signal fails
Skin signal fails
Floor keeps moving
Skin signal fails
Bridge
Every wrist a wire, every wire a name
Mine goes quiet, nothing left to claim
The beat don't care whose skin it wears
Signal's gone, but the bass is still there
Chorus
Skin signal fails
Skin signal fails
Floor keeps moving
Skin signal fails
