Every intelligence I find — my wing-speed gifting.
I saw the berserker break and I logged it — gone —
I saw the blood-feud hunter cross the root — moved on —
I saw Tyr's hand fall and the wolf-chain drawn —
I saw Heimdallr at the Bifröst — marked — withdrawn.
I see everything once — that's the nature of Thought —
I don't hold the image past the moment it's caught.
That's why he needs us both — one sees — one's got —
I bring the world — Muninn tells him what it wrought.

That's the thing about Memory — I don't filter or release —
I hold the beautiful and brutal with the same iron crease.
Odin fears my leaving more than war — more than Ragnarök's increase —
Because without me — nothing that ever happened finds its peace.
He can think without Huginn — painful but surviving —
Without Muninn there's no past — no self — no conniving —
