Why AI-generated music?

Traditional background music services require licensing through Performing Rights Organizations (PROs) such as ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, PRS, or ZAiKS. These licenses carry annual fees per venue, per location, often regardless of how much music is actually played. For small venues, this creates unpredictable costs.

By generating our own original music using AI tools — and owning the resulting catalog outright — WeavyAudio carries the full licensing burden internally. Your flat subscription fee is all you pay. There are no third-party royalty pass-throughs.

How tracks are created

WeavyAudio uses commercially-licensed AI generation tools to create original audio. We specify genre, mood, tempo, and energy parameters but do not feed copyrighted training material specific to individual artists. The generation tools we use operate under their own commercial licensing terms that permit commercial output.

Our QA pipeline

Every generated track goes through a three-stage review before it is published to the catalog:

Automated similarity screening
Acoustic fingerprinting compares each new track against known copyrighted works. Any match above our threshold blocks the track from advancing.

Human review
A human reviewer listens to each track, confirms it is commercially appropriate and venue-safe, and verifies it does not resemble any known composition.

Publication (green status)
Only tracks that pass both stages are published to the catalog. Tracks that fail fingerprinting are flagged red and quarantined; tracks pending review are yellow and held back from streaming.

What this means for you

  • No per-play royalties. The flat subscription fee covers everything.
  • Your license certificate documents this explicitly for any rights inquiries.
