Lil Samba

Lil Samba makes house and funk tracks that ride the mid-tempo breakbeat like a Brazilian taxi on a late-night city block — warm chords and punchy drums build up quietly until they're just about to burst, then pull back again to catch the breath. Pé na Lona 2, the new EP from Lil Samba, is four songs of rolling funk groove that moves at its own pace without ever losing steam.
